bundle of joy!

So I haven't written a post in over a week..... maybe two *oops*! Great start to this whole blogging thing, I know! I have a good excuse though! A REALLY GOOD/CUTE excuse. How can an excuse be cute you ask? WELL my sister gave birth to my sweet nephew, baby Noah! So this post is dedicated to my sweet, precious, adorable nephew Noah!

Noah was born on October 10th and weighed 10lbs. 5oz.! None of us guessed he would be that big!

My sister was admitted to the hospital on Monday, October 8th, because of high blood pressure. Noah however was not ready to come out. They began to induce Nicole (my sister) on Tuesday, but Noah was not ready until Wednesday morning. I was so excited to be in the room as my sister gave birth. She did an awesome job!

He is absolutely perfect! I love showing his picture to anybody and everybody. I am pretty sure I have showed his picture to the cashier at Target. hehe everyone wants to see him! I just know it!

Yesterday I went to visit Noah, and I captured some wonderful moments with him!
Here ya go!

He is smiling in this photo! NOT CRYING!

We got some quiet time to cuddle.

His little fingers are strong!

Sleepy baby!

I'm sure you will see many more posts about this little guy!

Have a good weekend! -N

InstaFriday!

Happy Friday! I am way excited for this blog post today. I have been following blogs and the people I follow always do cool blog link ups! So today I am participating in my first link up, INSTAFRIDAY!

life rearranged

We spent this last weekend at Tony's parents! I love going to their house because they have farm animals! (This city girl LOVES farm animals!) On Saturday we were going to go watch his little brother play football, but it rained ALL weekend. His game got cancelled so we went shopping around town. On Sunday we played in the puddles and took care of some fire ants at his parents house before we headed back home.

The rain gage was filled to the top! Tony's little brother is playing in the puddle, and those are my feet on the left. I took a pic of my wonderful footwear!

Fresh chicken eggs. Tony's mom has a few chickens, and we get to enjoy their eggs! Fresh eggs are sooooo much better!

This is Jeffrey. I love his coloring! I can't wait to see him grow up.

Not much has been going on at school.  Most people wonder how I teach three grade levels, but it's just every day life for me. My kids come in to the classroom in the morning, get out their "work plans," and get started on a work of their choice. While they are working on their jobs, I give lessons to small groups or individual students. In the afternoon my students have P.E.,  "Writer's Workshop," and Cultural work (Science & Social Studies).

These are photos of some math work my kiddos completed. The top left picture is money.  The two red and blue boards are Strip Board addition. The colored beads are Multiplication Bead Layout. I love Montessori math materials! The lessons are so fun to give!

We got a new fish tank this week! The fish tank we had was 10 gallons. So we upgraded to a 20 gallon tank, and it loos AWESOME! We got a new shelf for it to sit on, and Tony put it together last night. He was like a little kid with Legos. The fish tank and stand look so much better than what we had before!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! We are going to the State Fair, and who knows, maybe Baby Noah will decide to enter the world this weekend!

Ten Randoms!

I created this blog about 3 years ago, but I never actually posted anything. I have been reading lots of blogs lately and decided I wanted to start one  actually post on my blog.

I plan to use this blog to share things that are going on in my life, crafts that I do, and things I do in my classroom.

I figured the first post should be like an introduction to me, just in case you don't already know me! I have listed 10 true, but some random facts about me! Enjoy :)

1.) My name is Natalie and I am an Aggie! I love everything Texas A&M!

2.) I have an amazing boyfriend (Tony) that I have been dating for over 3 years!

3.) I love my family and am soooo thankful for their support and love!

4.) I am going to be an AUNT *for the first time* any day now! My sister Nicole is past her due date, so we are  patiently waiting on baby Noah.

5.) I teach 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at a Montessori school. I just finished my Montessori certification this year! The picture below is Snake Game Addition. I haven't taken pictures of my classroom for a few years, so I didn't have very many options for this picture. oops

6.) I love my chihuahua. His name is Pulga! I adopted him about 4 years ago. He is not a normal chihuahua. He doesn't bark very often, and he is VERY calm.

7.) I love our kitten! Her name is Jezabelle, and she is adorable! She is a daddy's girl though.

8.) I love LOVE LoVe Christmas! Our tiny apartment has a crazy amount of decorations at this time of year, but it makes us happy :)

9.) I love my birthday just as much. I am like a little kid when it comes to my birthday! My parents call me at 6:30 a.m. on my birthday (around the time I was born). I don't care about the presents, but I do like to celebrate! I wonder if I will be as excited about my birthday when I turn 30? (It probably won't help that my boyfriend is 3 years younger than me, and likes to point it out on my birthday... 30 will suck.)

10.) I love snow days! I am also a little kid when it comes to snow days. Probably because I am a teacher. I wake up early and watch the news just in case. HOPING AND PRAYING that I will see my school district's name scroll along the screen. I wish today was a snow day :(

Looking forward to writing future posts!
